Opened in 2007, The Altoona Hotel--An American Bistro's mission is to present and reveal the depth and breadth of the Mid-Atlantic's region's best ingredients, focusing on seasonal produce, wild seafood and naturally raised meats, in a simple, straightforward manner through new American Cuisine and refined culinary technique. The wine list is a winner of Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence and is comprised of over 300 wines, predominately from California, Washington and the Pacific Northwest-a feat unmatched by any other restaurant in Altoona. The restaurant is the home of the area's first true wine bar and features a certified Wine keeper system.
